Playground Facelift

Pubished Feb 11, 2019

Work should soon be starting on a £16,000 redevelopment of the Early Years' playground tp kickstart a longer-term programme of improvements.

This initial phase, funded by a grant from the infamous 'Sugar tax', will see existing grassed areas resurfaced with artificial turf, making it safe and available for use even in bad weather, and the installation of modular low-level wooden balance and ramp equipment to improve gross and fine motor skills.

The money is part of a £78,000 grant secured by the University of Brighton Academies Trust from the Healthy Pupils Capital Fund, paid for by the Soft Drinks Industry Levy.
